Gulf Coast Native Yarn - 100% Wool

$15.00  / Each  (4 oz skeins)

QTY In Stock:
This yarn is spun with wool from our flock of Gulf Coast Native sheep. Gulf Coast sheep are a critically endangered heritage breed from the southeastern United States, descended from flocks left by the Spaniards in the 1500s. The yarn comes in 4 oz skeins. On average, Gulf Coast wool is between 26-32 microns in fiber diameter. It makes great fabric, blankets or knitted projects (sweaters, etc.) and is suitable for next to skin use since it is not harsh to the skin.
